The College came into existence in 1960 as an institution of Higher Learning. The Institute was started with Matric(X), Prep(XI), B.A., B.Com from Punjab University, Chandigarh in 1960, with only 59 Students. In 1977, Punjab university stopped taking examinations for class X & XI then Punjab, Haryana & Himachal Boards came into existence with these boards X & XI exams were conducted. After 1977 we started with Secondary & Senior Secondary level courses from CBSE & B.A., B.Com from Delhi University. When NIOS formally known as NOS came into existence in 1989 then we have also started with X & XII from NIOS. Specialization in the area of Secondary & Senior Secondary education was the popular demand of the generation. Our college is well known for healthy & supportive environment. With the tradition and solid foundation, I am confident that each one of us will strive hard to make the students more capable to face the challenges of the future. When young student joined our Class X we were a little amused to learn, his grand Grandfather had also been our student back in 1970’s.
